1. Many men went to Mars trying to leave their problems behind, or with dreams of finding something new on Earth.

2. Benjamin Driscoll wanted to grow trees on Mars

3. Many people when they first landed on Mars fainted

4. The trees that Mr. Driscoll had planted grew in one month

5. Trees grow much faster on Mars than on Earth

Two Literary Technique

1. Metaphor: " But most of all the trees would distill an icy air for the lungs, and a gentle rustling for the ear when you lay nights in your snowy bed and were gentled to sleep by the sound" (Bradbury 74).
