The Color Purple By Alice Walker Journal Entry #3

Five Comments
1. Shug opens up Alberts suitcase and finds Netties letters
2. Celie finds out that Nettie is alive
3. Nettie is a maid for Samuel and Corrine which are parents of Celies kids
4. Nettie is in Africa
5. The boys were the only ones that should be taught in Africa
Four Questions
1. How are they getting to Africa on a train?
2. Was Nettie not aware of racism and segregation?
3. Did Corrine and Samuel not know that Nettie was Adam ad Olivia's aunt?
4. If Nettie and Celie were around each other how come they never ran into each other?
