No Disrespect By Sister Souljah Journal Entry #2

Five Comments
1. Everyone in the family had problems, the women in the family were mainly single mothers trying to make ends meet, and some of the men in the family were involved with drugs
2. She is starting to notice that in the adults in her life say one thing but do another
3.  Her mother was letting Tyrone, one of the men from the block take charge of the household
4. Tyrone was helping the kids out, and the kids started to like him
5. She realized that Tyrone wasn't as nice as he seemed
Four Questions
1. Why wasn't the church teaching the people how to develop their minds spiritually and intellectually?
2. Why was everything blamed on the devil?
3. Was Tyrone her mother's boyfriend?
4. Why would her mother let a man, that she hasn't long for to long take her place as the head of her household? 
Three Words
1. Reefer: a short, close fitting coat

1. metaphor: "I lay in my bed in my bed paralyzed with fear..." (pg.23)

1. Things start to change in the family, men from the neighborhood start coming inside the apartment.
